Online research and educational activities designed to help students confront the vital lessons of historical analysis.  
 
 
Holocaust and Human Behavior: Students will take part in Socratic seminars delving into the social patterns which led to the rise of the Nazi party in post World War I Germany. We will have the honor of hearing the personal testimony of Holocaust survivor Sonia Weitz.

Gattaca

Catch this sci-fi classic in class on Thursday May 27th. Before the viewing students will discuss the similarities and differences between Huxley's "Brave New World" and Niccol's "Gattaca."  Related academic subjects to research include gene therapy, the eugenics movement, Nazi use of taxonomy, the human genome, and human cloning. Students are encouraged to discuss the contemporary implications of the ideas surrounding the film.
