Nayef), US and the UN, Afghanistan and the formation of a new government, Vietnam- Then and Now (Regret to Inform movie shown),
US foreign policy in South America (video shown), The Legacy of Henry Kissinger (Video shown).
Maddox Park Activities
Fizbee Football/ Ultimate games will be held regularly every other Friday
(not during testing). Students who wish to to alter the sport we are going to play are encouraged to make
a recomendation to Mr. Smith, Mr. Goyette, Ms. Perez, or Ms. D. Recent suggestions include bowling and flag/two-hand-touch
football. All activities will be held at Maddox park unless we have made it clear we are going elsewhere.
Remember basketball games held every other Wednesady are at the Mira Mesa Recreation Center. We usually begin
a 7:00 am (that'll scare some of you off) and play until 8:00.
BASKETBALL RECAP
3/10/02 The Good Old Days
Mr. Smith and Mr. Goyette joined Alex, Emmanual, Brandon, Billy, Deseree,
and Peter for a few three on three games. If you're doing the math here you'll notice we had some scrubs on the pine
who checked in between oxygen breaks. Alex and Mr. Smith kept the benches warm, while Brandon and Emmanuel husseled
nonstop for rebounds and loose balls. Peter stayed on the court with a solid passing game and a few "look
at me I'm tall and standing under the basket" shots. Mr. Goyette got his outside jumper hitting once he'd warmed
up with an even number of air-balls and bricks. Billy showed up a bit late for the gym games but managed to
get off some good jumpers on the outside court. Hope to see more of you out there next time!
